Dual Band Operation

GSM 900/1800 and *EGSM 900 dual band networks in Europe, Africa, and Asia Pacific; automatic switching between bands.

* EGSM = extended GSM. The EGSM operating frequency extends 10 MHz lower on the 900 band. If the operator has access to this bandwidth, it can expand the network capacity. The mobile phone must also support the lower bandwidth to make use of the expansion.
