If you purchase a Pay As You Go mobile phone, you will not be sent a bill. Instead, you purchase credit for your phone, and this credit then runs down as you make calls, or use network services. Quite often, you can buy Pay As You Go mobile phone credit directly from the network, using a credit or debit card. You can also purchase credit in the form of vouchers, which give you a special code to enter into the phone, which then registers the credit. The network subsidy on this type of phone is considerably less than for contract customers, however, so purchase prices are often many times higher for a Pay As You Go mobile phone than for a contract one.

	Paper Vouchers - Avaiable for all pay as you go phones on O2, Vodafone, 3, Orange and T Mobile. Paper vouchers can be obtained from Newsagents, petrol stations and supermarkets. You can top up in denominations of £10, £15, £20, £25, £35, £50 and pay for the vouchers by cash, cheque or plastic.
	Electronic - e Top Up: This is basically a re-usable voucher. Once you have used your voucher it turns into an E Top-Up card allowing you to top up your Pay & Go mobile simply by handing your card over at thousands of places throughout the UK, where it will be swiped and your mobile will automatically be topped up.
